Joe Salomone began studying the Oriental Self Defence Arts in 1973. To further enhance these skills he entered the world of amateur boxing from 1976-1984. He became a five time Nevada State Golden Glove and A.B.F. champion, and was selected to represent the U.S.A. in International Boxing competition while training at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, CO from 1981-1983.
In 1980 he received Orange Sash (Instructor Degree) and began his priest training. He operated several schools for his Teacher in Las Vegas, NV before moving to Phoenix in 1990. The Tempe, AZ school was opened in 1993 where programs were offered to pre-school children thru adults. In July of 1994 his Teacher honoured him with a 2nd Dan Red Sash (Teachers Degree).
At the request of his Teacher he authored a book on T'ai Chi Exercise in 1996 and produced instructional videos with his knowledge of the Oriental Arts. He has traveled around this great country since 1997 teaching seminars and certification programs to students, martial art professionals and the general public. These programs are offered in various cities and states including Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, New York, and Virginia.
